Khmer House Bungalow

We loved the quiet countryside setting beside the fields, while still being close enough to Kep's beach and "centre". Our bungalow had a clean, cozy room and a terrace with a stunning sunset view. The restaurant has a good range of dishes, and I especially recommend the Amok vegetable. You can rent a scooter to take the dirt roads to the pepper farm, or explore the national park or butterfly park just behind the guesthouse. It's also easy to stay in and enjoy the terrace. Service was perfect, and the people running the place are truly good-hearted. Staff can do laundry, book bus tickets and arrange pickup, always with a warm smile. Fantastic value for money.

The owner and his family were wonderful and so helpful. When my friend fell off a motorbike one night, the owner offered to drive him to the hospital and even spoke with the doctor for him. He and his wife are great cooks too, and all their home-cooked meals were delicious. The clean, cute bungalows each have a small private porch. It's a little way from the town center, but you can rent motorbikes, get a ride from the owner, or walk about 30 minutes. Loved staying here and highly recommend it in Kep!

The manager did his best to help us find somewhere at the last minute after we had to leave despite confirming our stay, so we're giving it four stars for that experience. The gardens are well kept and the comfortable huts are amazing. This place deserves a true five stars. We'll definitely come back someday!

The rooms are spacious and excellent, and I liked the property and owner. At first I thought it was far from everything, but in Kep nothing is very close to anything else, so this is a pretty good location by comparison. There are decent shops and food near the Kep market, though it's a bit of a walk. The restaurant food felt simple and a bit bland for Khmer food, and I didn't think it was worth the fairly high prices. That's a bummer because there aren't convenient alternatives, and they don't allow food in the rooms because of possible critters. WiFi didn't reach our bungalow, which was the furthest one. It should be fine in the bungalows closer to the restaurant.
