Soho Villa&Resort

The staff were extra friendly and helped with our needs, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless too. We’ve had a really pleasant few days at Soho resort since recently visiting Koh Kong. My evening swim in the pool was relaxing, and afterward I ordered room service: Bolognese spaghetti and a chocolate frappe. Both were affordable and really delicious, exactly what I was craving. Breakfast the next morning was noodle soup with a matcha latte, and it was frickin good. The resort is a few minutes’ drive from the seaside and market place, and not far from central Koh Kong. Highly recommend it if you’re visiting!

We stayed for three nights as a family, a great place to rest and recharge after our Koh Kong adventures. My child loved the very big pool, which has a kids’ section. The gym was handy for keeping up with fitness on holiday, and we enjoyed the sauna and steam room too. Our room was clean, nice, and spacious. The coffee shop was great for getting my coffee fix before heading out, and staff were very helpful with all our requests.

We ended up here by accident after one of our motorbikes broke down and we couldn’t reach our final destination. We just needed somewhere to sleep while sorting out the bike, so the location didn’t bother us much. It’s a little way from town and not that convenient for getting there, though it’s near the amazing National Park, and I suspect that may change as the town grows. The staff were friendly and attentive, the hotel was reasonably priced, and our room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower. There’s a gym and pool, and the food menu is simple, easy to choose from, and good quality. No complaints from a couple of British bikers!

The pool looks good, and the villa is nice overall. The ground floor was a bit slippery for some reason, and a mat by the bathroom doors would help.
