The Cliff Hostel

The scenery was the one thing I liked. My stay was awful otherwise, from the service to the management. Check-in took two hours, breakfast didn't start until 9 AM, and staff kept questioning me about the swimming gear. They rushed me to check out at 11 AM, then called the next day asking me to pay a bill I'd already settled when I checked in. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

The bay views from the common area are incredible, especially at sunset, and there are plenty of spots to sit and relax. The hostel also has snorkeling you can only access from there. Food was okay, though it isn't served all day, and there are other options in the village centre. The beds were really comfortable, and the fan kept us cool enough at night. The dorm is open concept but still felt safe. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and would definitely stay again.

We liked it so much that I extended our stay by three nights. The price per night is extremely reasonable, actually cheap. The food is really good, and the coffee is great. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the dorms are clean with comfortable beds. I'd highly recommend staying here when you're in Koh rong sanloem.

The sunsets over Empire Bay from the cliff are the kind you remember long after the trip. I found this place as soon as I arrived, and it felt special right away. It sits up on a hill, with breathtaking views and a laid-back atmosphere that can be peaceful or social depending on what you're after. There's sometimes a spontaneous party, but nothing feels forced. The staff were unreal, warm and easy to talk to, and they went out of their way to make my stay feel like being part of a family. I've stayed at hostels around the world, and this team is among the very best. The place is simple, with basic amenities, but has what you need to feel at home. If you need five-star service, marble floors and room service on demand, this isn't for you. I loved it because it's real and relaxed, and focused on enjoying the moment and the people around you. I've travelled a lot, but the Cliff Hostel is one of those rare places that leaves a mark on your heart. I'd come back tomorrow if I could. 100%, 1,000%, 2 million percent. For community, sunsets, laughter and memories, this is the spot. The greatest spot M'pai Bay. I can't recommend it enoug
