The rooms are spacious, airy and thoughtfully set up for comfort, and the hotel's decor has a stylish but rustic feel. The staff took great care of us and were exceptionally hospitable. This island is a haven for rest and disconnection, and the hotel feels peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant is a highlight. The chef makes delicious food, including what may be the best Tom Yum in Asia. From the pier, the welcome was warm and the staff handled my large suitcase without any effort from me, carrying it up the hill to my room. They offer personalized help with heavy luggage. The hilltop setting gives the hotel a charming atmosphere and, in my view, the best spot for watching the sunset. Guests from other hotels even come over for the view. The hill isn't a problem because you can request a ride up or down whenever you need one, though the walk itself is pleasant if you feel like getting some exercise.

The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and spacious, with lovely water views, and I'd definitely stay again. ThmorDa Resort sits up the hill and has amazing views across the water, especially at sunset. The staff are wonderful, polite, friendly and super helpful. Whatever you need, they'll sort it out.

The rooms are brand new, and the villas have a really nice view. It's a great place for sunsets and snorkeling, with a friendly team who helped us book a boat trip and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. There's also a nice restaurant for a cold drink. I think this is the best place to stay on M’pay Bay if you're not after the backpacking experience.

We spent three nights in the waterfront bungalow and had amazing cliff and sea views, plus a beautiful sunset from our terrace every evening. The room was spacious, the bathroom was lovely, and the mattress was good, not as hard as I'd normally expect in Asia. The restaurant is beautiful with a sea view, and all the food we tried was tasty. The staff and manager are very nice, as expected in Cambodia, but their English is poor, which caused some confusion. A short discussion was enough to clear things up. It's a large resort with several complexes and rooms in a beautiful garden, but it's at the end of a very steep, bad road. The 30-minute walk with luggage is too hard. We asked several times for a pickup from the pier and they didn't come. After we complained, they arranged pickups for every customer. We booked breakfast in advance and were surprised it only included one dish and one coffee. When we asked for fresh fruit and another coffee, which is very normal in Asia, they wanted extra payment. That was disappointing, especially since we'd rented their most expensive bungalow.

I loved ThmorDa Resort and would recommend it for your next vacation. The rooms are very clean, and they provide transport from the pier to the resort. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Mornings feel so fresh, and in the evening I enjoyed the breezy sunset with a glass of wine. I'll come back on my next vacation.
