White Beach Hostel

White Beach is right by the water, so swimming in the calm sea was easy, though I did miss having a pool. The resort has a beach bar with chilled music. Scooters can use this stretch of footpath, so it wasn't as quiet as we'd hoped. We stayed on the quiet end of Long Set Beach. The recently renovated rooms have views over the lake to the ocean and a nice balcony. The bathroom was lovely, but shower water drained very slowly. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate, and nobody offered to take our bags to the pier, as some other places do. A good stay.

We didn't eat at the restaurant because Barracuda was next door. The beach was clean, with plenty of hammocks, places to sit, and a bar. The new bungalows, opened Sept 25, are nicely fitted out and have excellent views. It's in a great spot at the quieter end of the beach. Google doesn't show beach access, but you can get in via a couple of bridges. The only letdown was that nobody offered to collect our bags when we arrived or take them to the pier when we left.

The beach facilities weren't great, so we preferred to go to a different part of the island for beach time. Still, we'd stay here again, as the place is developing. The brand new bungalows are spacious, nicely designed, and feel homely. Service was okay, though it felt a bit odd seeing the same person clean the garden and then serve food. We had some stomach issues and really appreciated the cleaning staff's support. A solid 4/5.

Matteo made a big difference to our stay with his warmth, charm, and personal touch. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The room was brand new, clean, and peaceful, just a very short walk from what felt like a private beach. The local food we tried was excellent. My wife and I adored our time here. We extended our stay and seriously considered dropping our future travel plans to spend another week. We will absolutely come back and stay longer. A sincere thank you to Matteo and the team. We'll cherish this experience.
