That balcony view was brilliant, and the overwater villa had a huge living room. We loved the stay. The restaurant had a really relaxed feel, and the local fish, which we were told a spearfisherman had caught that day, was unbelievably fresh and tasty. The pizzas were a pleasant surprise too, better than the ones I’m used to back home. The reception team responded quickly whenever we wanted help booking something on the island, and the restaurant staff always welcomed us with smiles and attentive service. See you again soon!

We ended up eating here every night and never got tired of it. Breakfast had fresh fruit, eggs made how you like them, Khmer dishes, and pastries, all prepared with care and good ingredients. Chef Van and the kitchen team made every meal a hit. The overwater restaurant has a glass floor, so you can watch fish swimming beneath you while you eat. We spent a week there and had the most relaxing time. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, and the restaurant was excellent, especially the lamb and the breakfast choices. There’s also a lovely pool by the restaurant where you can swim laps. Our overwater villa had its own pool facing the sea, and the whole place felt incredibly calm. The balcony is right over the water, with comfortable daybeds. We started feeling relaxed as soon as we arrived. Getting there by speedboat was part of the welcome, and Phil made us feel at home straight away. We can’t wait to come back and see more of the island and resort.

I loved being able to wander around Koh Apikjun in the mornings. The paths were quiet, passing fishing boats and tucked-away spots, with only the sea and the occasional friendly wave from locals. It felt unusually peaceful. The island’s evening light over the water was beautiful, and sunset drinks at the beach bar became part of our daily routine. Dinner was lovely too, with the golden glow on the sea and a warm team looking after us. Breakfast had proper coffee, fresh food, and thoughtful service. I just wish they had dairy-free choices for coffee and cereal. Days were mostly for relaxing, and Phil the GM had a nice balance of being laid-back while still paying attention.
