Baitong feels like an oasis right in the middle of the city. It’s in BKK1, with plenty of decent restaurants and coffee shops nearby. There’s an Aeon MaxValu convenience store with a pink sign just downstairs to the right as you leave the building. It has water, food, and essentials, and you can also fill up at the gym’s water dispenser. My room had a Samsung Air Dresser that can remove wrinkles, sanitize, or dry clothes. The longest cycle is just under two hours, so you can run it overnight or before heading out for the day. For a quieter stay, choose a room facing the pool without a city view. The city-facing rooms can be noisier. The concrete hallways carry sound, especially early in the morning. If you’re up around 7 am, it shouldn’t be a problem, but cleaning and guests checking out may be more noticeable than in carpeted corridors. Breakfast has a good range of western and local choices. It’s excellent, and a good deal if included, since it costs $15 at the hotel. The staff are professional, friendly, hardworking, and always smiling, so tipping is highly encouraged.

The rooms were immaculate, and the place was surrounded by lovely nature scents. I couldn’t ask for more. There’s a stunning rooftop bar on the 6th floor, where Yumey welcomed me. She’s young and vibrant, and made the best whiskey sour. Try the Asia Daisy too, she nailed it.

The hotel was full of beautiful plants, and I loved how they looked against the concrete building. The decor was simple and tasteful, with good lighting options. Our spacious room had thoughtful extras like a humidifier, a choice of pillows, and a clothes sanitizer. We’ve never had more attentive hospitality or stayed in a more beautiful hotel. Everything was incredible, and Monoi was especially attentive to us. I’ll dream about this place forever.

I’d definitely recommend this beautiful hotel. I was there with a large group for a conference, and they looked after us well. I also got a coupon for a free massage when I checked in. Breakfast seating was the one weak point. When the hotel is full, there isn’t enough room for everyone. I had to sit outside in the bar area, where the smokers were, which wasn’t great.

The hotel looks beautiful, especially if you like modern architecture blended with the local environment. The public areas are stunning and the rooms are very nice. But the service and comfort haven’t matched what I expected from a place like this. On my first night, the TV wouldn’t work. It took almost an hour and a half to fix, even though the issue was just that it wasn’t signed into Google after the password changed for the new year. I was likely the first guest in the room after Jan 1. I called reception and asked for the password, but they said they’d send someone up instead. I waited nearly 30 minutes, called again, and they seemed surprised no one had come. Someone arrived about 10 minutes later, but didn’t know how to fix it. They had to call reception and bring up a front desk employee to enter the new password. This should have been sorted before check-in, or at least fixed quickly. Instead, after arriving at the property on a 48-hour transit, it delayed my sleep by nearly two hours. I might have let that go, but the next morning I found the shower stayed hot for only about five minutes. The manager later found me because of this review, apologized, and sent a fruit platter to my room. It was a nice gesture, and he was very nice. He explained the hot water issue wasn’t mechanical failure, but the room’s hot water tank was extremely small, just 15L. On my second shower, I tried using the hot water more sparingly, but that didn’t help. Worse, the drain backed up and the zero-entry shower started flooding the bathroom before I was finished. I had to stop early, still covered in soap, and call reception to get it fixed. They came more quickly this time, but it was still a problem. The fruit plate was thoughtful, but I just need the basic accommodation I’m paying for: a hot shower that works properly.
