Ban Ban Hotel

I was really upset by how this was handled, and nobody even apologized. We arrived around 2:00 AM on February 22 and asked if there was a room. The staff said yes and charged us $60 for a king-size bed. During check-in, they only explained breakfast, not the check-in or check-out times. Before we went upstairs, I asked if this counted as early check-in, and the staff nodded. At other hotels, early morning arrivals have counted as check-in for the next day, so I assumed we could check out on the 23rd. We left for an event in the morning and didn’t think we needed to return before 12 PM. When we got back at 2 PM, the key card didn’t work. At the desk, I was told the 2:00 AM arrival counted as a full day, and we had to pay another $60. I explained that I thought checkout was the next day, and they gave us the key back without charging us then. I assumed the matter was sorted, since hotels usually don’t reactivate your key without confirming payment. Then around 9 PM they called our room asking for the money again. That made me even more upset because I thought the issue had been settled. The worst part was the unclear explanation at check-in and no apology for the confusion. Guests arriving in the middle of the night need clear information, and I hope management improves the process. I paid anyway, even though the room was hot because the air-conditioning wasn’t working well.

Ban Ban Hotel is right in the heart of Phnom Penh, and I found it easy to walk to many of the main sights and nearby restaurants. The staff were welcoming and attentive from the moment I arrived, making check-in smooth and pleasant. They were also ready to help with requests throughout my trip. My modern room was spotless and comfortable, with the amenities I needed and a bed that was great for resting after a day out. The care they put into the room’s design and upkeep really showed. I especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar. It was a relaxing place to take in the city skyline, with beautiful views, particularly at sunset. The location, service, and comfortable amenities make it a great-value choice for either business or leisure. I’ll stay here again on my next visit.

The rooftop Ban Ban Sky Bar was a cozy spot to unwind, with good food and a band. I also liked the big gym and swimming pool. The staff were incredibly friendly, and breakfast was pretty good. I had a great experience at this five-star Phnom Penh hotel.

The room price felt well worth it. I was on a holiday in Phnom Penh with my parents, and we had a great stay at Ban Ban hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was pretty good too, served on the 11th floor with a really nice view.
