California International Hotel (加州国际大酒店)

I chose this hotel because it was next to the airport and I had a 6h00am flight. The restaurant and breakfast were very low quality. People smoked inside the hotel, in rooms and in the elevator, which was awful for a non-smoker. I don't recommend this place. Up to you if you want to be disappointed too.

The room wasn't bad, but the food was hard to eat and not worth $10. During quarantine, the only food option was Chinese. It was hard to communicate with the workers, who spoke Khmer and Chinese but not English. They should change the hotel name to 'Chinese Hotel' instead of California.

It was a relief to leave. The place reeks of cigarettes and other bad smells, even though smoking is supposedly not allowed in rooms, and there are ashtrays in the rooms and hallways. We also found a huge cockroach, and the TV had just one Chinese channel. The food downstairs was awful, and the price felt far too high. Its only real advantage is being across the street from the airport, though traffic makes walking a bad idea. The photos make it look much better than it is. I wouldn't stay again, and wouldn't recommend booking here.

The room smelled bad, and the WiFi was so slow it was almost unusable. We were given the wrong room, and the staff weren't friendly. There were only Chinese channels on the TV. We paid by card, but they still asked us for an extra $20 in cash as a deposit. We chose it because we needed somewhere near the airport for the day before a late connecting flight. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in.
