City View Apartment

The room was large, but old and outdated, and the door key was faulty. It took several tries to get the handle to open. Worse, ants were all over the bathroom sink and, when we were about to sleep, crawling across my pillow, sheets and bags. I contacted the front desk and was told the room had already been cleaned, so they wouldn’t clean it again. When I returned, ants were still on the bed and dead ones were scattered around the room. This was genuinely traumatizing. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but sleeping in a bed full of ants was horrible, and I saw from other reviews that I wasn’t the only one. Save your money and don’t book here.

The street noise kept me awake on the third floor, the WiFi was very slow, and there was a serious ant infestation. But the smoking was the biggest issue: people smoked in the lobby, hallways, elevator, rooms, by the pool, everywhere. When someone lit up in the lobby, I asked if that was allowed and was told yes. The front desk confirmed the policy. The non-smoking room listings are misleading: apparently it just means they remove the ashtray before you arrive. As someone with asthma, two of my four nights there were legitimately dangerous. Just no.

There’s plenty of daylight coming through the windows, and the rooms have high ceilings, good views and lots of space. The WiFi was fast and every room had good air conditioning. The area felt quiet and safe, while still being close enough to things.

I appreciated how clean everything was and how kind and professional the staff were. Thanks for everything.
