Feliz Urban Hotel

The room was huge and really comfortable, and there are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The neighborhood feels a bit more hipster and slightly south of the hotel. The pool looked much better in the pictures. It was okay while the hotel was quiet, but there are only four chairs, so you’d have to compete for a spot when it’s busy. I also found the 2% card fee annoying. I hadn’t run into that in Cambodia before.

The location is excellent, with interesting restaurants and bars all around. The nearby Japanese Quarter is really cool, and Bassac has some good bars too. The rooms are slick and possibly the largest I’ve had for the price, with loads of space, modern bathtubs, a big TV, and a balcony. The rooftop section of the sky bar feels oddly soulless without a proper bar. You have to catch a waiter’s attention and wait for drinks to come up from downstairs. The view is cool, but there’s little reason to linger otherwise. Breakfast is served in the actual bar area and makes for a nice start to the day. Staff seemed to be competing over who could misunderstand the most. For a modern hotel, I’d expect better training or English comprehension. Room service and laundry also require cash, which is inconvenient when other Phnom Penh hotels seem to manage normal billing. I’d stay again, hopefully with the staff more on top of things.

Breakfast upstairs was a simple, adequate spread, and having that terrific city view made it especially enjoyable. The rooms are modern and clean, with very comfortable beds. I was pleased with everything and would definitely go back.

We had a thoroughly five-star stay. Our Deluxe Villa left me speechless, with modern design that still felt cozy, first-class amenities, a super comfortable bed, and a bathtub overlooking phnom penh that felt like a unique experience. The location is very central, close to good restaurants, while popular pubstreet is just a five-minute tuk tuk ride away, close enough but not so close that it gets annoying. The Restaurant & Sky Bar welcomes hotel guests and visitors, with a good dining experience, reasonably priced food, and a mix of western and Khmer specialties. My tip is to watch the sunset from the peaceful rooftop with a happy hour signature cocktail and the busy capital below. The staff were all attentive and smiling, which helped make the stay so good. General Manager Mr. Raing Arun was a friendly, welcoming host. Thanks for the pleasant stay. We’ll be back soon!
