The Skye Phnom Penh Hotel & Apartments

The pool, gym, and poolside bar were lovely at the end of the day, and the restaurant’s executive chef offers plenty of tasty dishes. Breakfast was also pretty good. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and very modern, and the hotel is clean and well built. Staff know their stuff, speak English well, and are service-minded. Our first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but the staff quickly moved us to another one. I’d recommend it.

I’ve stayed here again since that first visit. During my three-night stay last month, I left my handphone in the gym without realizing it. After breakfast at the cafe, I went to my room and noticed it was missing. I checked the cafe, but it wasn’t there. Luckily, the waitress who had found it in the gym returned it to me. She had been helping with my request as I was about to start exercising. I’m grateful to have my handphone back and impressed by her honesty and integrity. The service staff, especially at the coffee house, are cheerful and attentive.

The hotel was nice, clean, and quiet, and both the front office and rain cafe staff were friendly and helpful. I needed two pages printed, and they checked quickly and did it at no cost. I was here for two days as master trainer for RHB Cambodia, and they gave the seminar great support with a large LED screen and setup. Mr Robert, the marketing manager, was especially helpful and composed, making sure things ran smoothly. He even showed me somewhere to have dinner and came along to buy fresh cashew nuts at the market. Thanks, Mr Robert. Good job. I’d recommend The skye hotel to anyone wanting to stay or run a seminar.

The restaurant meals were enjoyable, especially the Amok Fish. My room was well designed and equipped, and the bed was comfortable. It was a truly comfortable stay.
