The first impression wasn't great. I had booked and paid for a river-view room and specifically requested one of the refurbished rooms because I prefer a shower to a bathtub. Instead, I got a room overlooking the parking lot, with musty carpet and an old-style bathroom with a tub. It was spacious, and the AC worked fine, though the musty smell lingered. The bath amenities, shampoo and body wash, were surprisingly good, and there was hot water even late at night. But the tiles beside the tub clearly hadn't been scrubbed, and there were stains and bits of dirt. It was disgusting. At check-in, they told me the internet wasn't working in my room, which isn't ideal if you're there for work. I went downstairs later to ask about changing rooms and when the internet would be back. They offered a complimentary SIM for data, so there are short-term workarounds if you ask. Cambodiana does seem to care about the guest experience and act on it. They moved me to the other side of the same Mekong floor, in a room to the right of the elevator. It was immediately better, with a clearer view of the river confluence and the ferry terminal, and no carpet, which helped with my allergies. It still didn't have a shower, but at least that was one less concern. If you need a carpet-free room or a shower only for medical reasons, make the request in advance and communicate it clearly.

Breakfast was outstanding, with a full coffee bar, lovely pastries, and several kinds of cuisine. I could also exchange money at a good rate. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are a bit dated, but clean, which matters most. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good food and friendly service in a calm, relaxing spot by the river. The restaurant has a classic feel, with an outdoor garden and pretty lights at night. Nice for dinner and some downtime.

I was at the hotel for a symposium and liked its old-fashioned, classic charm. The staff were quite accommodating. I enjoyed the coffee and snacks during breaks, and lunch was served very well.

It was easy to get around from this well-located hotel, close to lots of places to visit, especially the King's Palace. My room was cleaned every day, with towels changed and water and toiletries replenished. The staff were nice and friendly, especially BOTH at the reception, who was really helpful.
