Le President Hotel

I came for the Chinese restaurant's food and found it quite enjoyable. Some dishes had a Cambodian twist, including lotus stems, pumpkin vine, and salted egg fried batter, along with other items you don't usually see on a typical Chinese menu. The pumpkin vine was especially nice, not bitter at all and almost sweet.

I'm not familiar with the hotel rooms, but I eat here often and the experience is always exceptional. The food and service are superb, and the fresh ingredients are prepared flawlessly. On my recent visit, the Peking duck, egg tofu, and prawns in rock salt were all outstanding. It's a lovely place for family gatherings and special occasions. I proposed to my girlfriend here and held a dinner party afterward, and the event was beautifully executed. Every visit is memorable.

The restaurant is overpriced, and the service was really poor. The woman at the counter was busy talking on her phone and to other customers. She was rude when I tried to get her attention about my order, saying she was too busy to respond. I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant was a mixed bag: the dim sum was either too salty or bland, and the stir-fried green beans were wilted. The prices felt high for that quality, though I hope they can prove me wrong. The hotel itself was the best place I've stayed on this trip, even compared with other highly rated hotels. It's newly renovated, very clean, and has thoughtful in-room technology. The outdoor display is informative, and the controls for custom lighting are great. There are large windows with a good view if your room faces the front, plus a table for two and a workstation with built-in power. Service was also excellent. I'd come back, and I hope the hotel keeps up this standard instead of declining like the others I've stayed at.
