The food was nice, and the river view felt fresh and pleasant. Inside, the place is cozy and luxurious, though the outside of the building looks a little old. Service was uneven, which you notice pretty quickly, but some staff really tried hard and made up for it. They were also saving too much electricity in the meeting room.

Now called High Sky Hotel, it has comfortable rooms in a quiet area and great views. Breakfast is good, and the facilities are a very good deal for the price. The WiFi was unreliable and only 144Mbps. It's also away from the city's main tourist areas, about USD5-7 each way by tuk tuk.

The hotel isn't in a great spot, with a 15-30 minute trip to the central area, and its tuk tuks usually cost USD1-2 more. Breakfast was limited to just a few dishes. I paid USD40 for a single room, which felt a bit high, especially since it was a double room converted for single occupancy.

It takes 20 minutes by tuk tuk to get to the river road or center, not five. The AC can't cool the room, and the restaurant's AC seems to be there for decoration. There's no laundry service, staff don't seem to care, and the supervisor wasn't available. In my opinion, this is only four second-hand stars and not worth even one European star.

Get sky high at high sky hotel.aI got higher than Neil Armstrong. Sounds like a " protected place "& visitors can let the brakes off & cut loose.
