Paddy Rice

This used to be one of my favorite spots for a good meal, and it often had plenty of people in it. Lately it has been very quiet. I tried lunch there a few days ago anyway and left disappointed. Maybe the cook has changed since my last visit, or maybe they just don't care. It's off my list now. It no longer feels worth the money.

I stop by regularly for lunch or an early dinner. I haven't stayed overnight, but the food is good, with both Western and Asian options for locals and tourists. It costs about $8 per person and feels like good value. The place is right in the middle of Riverside, with other spots nearby to explore.

The staff weren't especially attentive, so I gave it 2 stars. It wasn't busy when I went, just a few single men, and I felt like a monger. It's a pub-style Riverside bar, probably better when it's packed and you're there with friends. Not usually my kind of place.

This is my favorite sports bar in PP. It's open around the clock, and the staff are friendly, especially the guy working after midnight. Ask for a particular game and they'll usually try to find it. They even put on the Grand National for me. There's also a big projector screen for major events.
