The breakfast costs $5 per person per day, and I thought it was worth it, with a rotating menu. My room was spacious and clean, with a fridge, strong AC, and a modern bathroom. The pool was nice; the gym was small, while the sauna and steam rooms were strong, though staff need to turn them on beforehand if you ask. The building looks renovated, but there may still be a slight old-building smell. Apart from that, it was a great stay for the price.

The Wi-Fi was terrible, averaging about 1 Mbps, so getting any work done was impossible. If you don’t need internet, though, this place should do. It’s a handy spot, about a five-minute walk to bassaca lane. The hotel is very clean and I didn’t see any bugs; the staff were almost too kind and always greeted me with a smile. Food and drinks here are extremely cheap and tasty. It seems to draw an older crowd.

We had a minor room issue, and the staff sorted it right away by moving us to a better room for the same price. They looked after us throughout our stay at the Katari Hotel in Phnom Penh. Their kind, attentive, efficient service made a real difference. Highly recommended!

The room was dirty, with cracked bathroom tiles, black mold around the bathroom and shower, cobwebs, and a spider. When I raised it with staff, they said not to worry because everything worked. This isn’t a 4-star hotel as advertised. I wouldn’t stay here.

Service was excellent, and the location was great. The hotel is a little dated, but the room was comfortable, on a quiet road off the main road in front of Novotel.
