RS guesthouse

I left very disappointed. There was no shower water, the room wasn’t clean, and the toilet hadn’t been properly maintained. The staff wouldn’t take responsibility or offer a fix. I can’t recommend this place.

I barely slept and felt afraid through the night. Around 1-2am, people in other rooms were moving things around and waking me up. The location is good, but I can’t recommend the safety or service. Outside the rooms on every floor, there were cups and small plates left behind, apparently from previous guests who had been smoking or using them. The guesthouse should keep things quiet after midnight, since most guests need to sleep. This was my first time booking it through Agoda, and it was a horrible experience.

The location is the main draw. Royal Palace, National Museum, places to eat, convenience stores, walking street, street food, and a pharmacy are all within easy walking distance. But the room smelled musty, I saw two small cockroaches, and the stained linens and towels looked old, which made the place feel unclean. There’s no elevator, so heavy luggage or mobility issues could make getting around difficult. It might do for a quick night if location matters most, but don’t expect comfort or cleanliness.

Some rooms have a balcony view of the Grand Palace, though that isn’t the case for every room.
