I stayed two nights at The Local Riverside Guesthouse, and it was surprisingly quiet for such a busy area. The Penthouse room was huge, with lots of room for clothes and other things, and a large private terrace, though it wasn't very bright. The A/C worked really well, and the ceiling fans were a nice extra. There was a small fridge, free water, and the WiFi was stable and worked well. The private bathroom is spacious, with a separate shower so water doesn't splash across the floor. It's outside the room, though, so it isn't insulated like the rest of the accommodation. It could get hot, and mosquitoes might get in, but that wasn't a problem for me. There are lots of crooked stairs up to the room, which could be an issue for people with reduced mobility, though it wasn't for me. Downstairs there's a bar/restaurant with a limited but good food menu and very reasonably priced drinks. The owner, Yat, is friendly and available whenever you need help.

We were there for two nights, and Rexa and Yon were especially welcoming and helpful. The whole team was professional, attentive, and ready to lend a hand, which made our stay comfortable. The place was clean, cosy, and well-maintained, too. A good, affordable place to stay in Phnom Penh, and highly recommended.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was great. The dishes were amazing, with delicious food and seasoning that felt just right.

The location works well, right by the river and close to a market. At first I wasn't sure this was a hostel, but the staff came out to greet me and were friendly from the start. My private room was a good size and the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom needs attention: tape on the bath floor was holding it together, and the water drained slowly. I didn't eat at the restaurant downstairs because it didn't have much atmosphere. It's okay overall.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Local Riverside Guesthouse in Phnom Penh. My 16-person dorm had 8 two-story beds and was clean and quiet. The staff were professional and helpful, and the service was excellent. Towels and blankets were provided, and the bathrooms were hygienic. Breakfast isn't complimentary, but you can pick from a variety of options to suit your budget, including great coffee. The location is very good, and the bar is always open to everyone. It was an amazing experience.
