Same Same Backpacker

I always come back here when I'm in Phnom Penh. The Western and Khmer food are both great, and the prices are fair. The Wi-Fi works well, and the staff are super friendly, fun, and honest. It has a small family feel. Great cocktails, happy hour, and comfortable big couches and tables. The rooms are very basic but cheap, a good choice for backpackers. The location is hard to beat for getting to the main attractions and nightlife, and the street feels very safe.

We all chose different dishes for dinner on our last night in Phnom Penh, my wife, sister, brother-in-law and I. The meals were generous and nicely presented. The drinks were icy cold, and the background music was first-class. I'd recommend it for a quick meal at very reasonable prices.

I had a great time here with friends. The food was really good, and tonight we had five very cold, tasty draft beers and four vodka tonics between us. The bill was only $13. I’d come back and spend more time here, even though I’ve moved to Toul Kork.

I live in Phnom Penh now, and this is somewhere I often eat with friends. Same same Backpackers is family run, with huge portions of some of the city’s best and cheapest food. There are big TVs for sports and news, and the walls list what they describe as the world’s largest drink and cocktail selection. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
