Angkor Ruby Guesthouse

The rooms were clean and spacious, and everyone at the guesthouse made us feel welcome. The staff were especially helpful with arranging tours and sharing information about the different options in Siem Reap. It was such a warm, wholesome stay.

I found this place by chance and am glad I did. The rooms are spotless and everything works, while the staff are always willing to sort out whatever you need. After a day or two, you feel welcomed like family. There are restaurants, shops and hairdressers close by, but the area stays away from the bustle of the center. You can walk there in a short time or take a tuktuk for a minute. For what Angkor Ruby Guesthouse offers, its prices are at the lower end. I'd come back whenever I need a room.

For the four of us, one night was really cheap: $5 per night for one huge bedroom with two beds. We were also able to check in without an extra charge, and pickup was free wherever we arrived. The host was friendly, accommodating and spoke good English. The hotel has nearly everything you might need, including a money changer, drinks, noodles, bus tickets and tour packages.

Our hosts gave us a lot of useful insight into the area and Cambodia as a whole, and we're very grateful for those conversations. They were also super friendly, spoke fluent English, and could arrange transport, tours and food. There's a well-equipped shop right out front. The room was spacious and tidy when we arrived, and fresh towels and other services were always available. This was definitely the best place we stayed during our month-long trip. Highly recommend.
