Apsara Residence Hotel

The rooms were clean, roomy, and quiet, and the hotel sits far enough from the city's main noise to feel private while still within walking distance of most things. The people working here were so kind and helpful. I wanted to do something special for my wife, and they arranged a citywide tuk tuk ride with a bottle of wine. If I'm in the area again, this will be my go-to.

We spent three great weeks at Apsara Residence Hotel in Siem Reap. Staff were always smiling, friendly, and quick to sort out anything we needed. They even taught us a little basic Khmer, which was a lovely touch and helped us get around town. The hotel is across the bridge from the town center, with an easy walk to pubs, markets, and everything going on. Even so, it stays calm and relaxing inside. We loved our time there and will be back next year. Highly recommend it if you're heading to Siem Reap.

The pool was a pleasant place to relax, though the water was pretty cold. I appreciated that they looked after our luggage when we arrived early after a night bus, while we waited for the room. The place looked clean and lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, the room was decent, though service sometimes took a while. The bathroom had no door, which felt odd for privacy. The air conditioner dripped noisily all night, and we had to ask for different bathrobes because the ones in the room smelled a bit. It was comfortable enough for the price and location, but not perfect.

I liked the riverside part of the city, so the location worked perfectly for me. On my day off I spent time at the pool and had a cocktail from the bar. My room was spacious, and I enjoyed coffee on the balcony each morning. The air conditioning noise was the one thing that bothered me a little. The staff were kind and very friendly, and on arrival I was given a glass of very good iced tea and a small local dessert.
