Beyond Yangon Boutique Inn

I really liked the Asian decor and the woodwork on the doors, which gave the hotel a lovely cultural feel. The plants made the room feel homey, and it was bright and inviting, with comfy chairs, a proper full-size desk for work, and both a full-length mirror and a huge vanity mirror. The room and bathroom were clean and cozy, with no mold or mildew that we could see at the time. The weekly rate we got was very reasonable, and the woman owner was so sweet and friendly. It was nice seeing her and saying hi each morning. The toilet lid and seat were the wrong size, much too small, uncomfortable to use, and unsanitary when flushing. I hope they fix it. There's no elevator either. Even with those issues, we'd love to come back someday.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, which is handy since the family-run place only serves breakfast. The staff were outstanding, and the family were warm and hospitable. Our room was clean and nice, and it's close to the Night and Pub market. A very good place to stay, highly recommended.

We took a 3-day, 2-night package with both a room and a tour. You can arrange tour packages directly through Beyond Yangon on their Facebook page, or book just the hotel separately on Agoda. The price was reasonable and good value, and the owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There’s no lift, but the staff kindly carried our luggage upstairs. The room was spacious, very clean, and had the essentials, including Wi-Fi, toiletries, and comfortable bedding. Breakfast was delicious, with Burmese dishes, snacks, and fresh fruit, though it wasn't a buffet. The location was excellent, a short walk to many restaurants and about 5-10 minutes from Pub Street and the Riverside Night Bazaar. They can also arrange airport pickup and Angkor Wat tours with an English-speaking guide. Our tour was well organized, and the guide shared fascinating details about the temples' history and architecture. Highly recommended for a visit to Siem Reap.

We spent 5 days here and enjoyed our stay. It’s a classic inn with Asian art decor, at a reasonable price and in a good downtown location. We could walk to dinner, drinks, and the spa. The staff were really friendly and polite. After being out in the humid weather, it was peaceful coming back to the room. Highly recommend.
