The location puts you about halfway between Siem Reap and Angkor Wat, which is handy for reaching the temples quickly. My arrival was less welcoming: at 2 PM the receptionist didn't seem pleased to see me and spoke only Cambodian. When it was clear I couldn't understand, she handed me the keys and pointed upstairs. The room had air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a hot drinking-water tap, but the sheets weren't clean and there was no toilet paper. I also came across a cockroach, about 3-4 cm long, though I'm no expert. And expect an early start, with three roosters crowing from around 4:30 AM.
