Residence 1960

We spent two weeks here in October 2025 and were very pleased with the hotel. The room was large, comfortable, and overlooked the pool. It was quiet, and we slept very well. Everyone on staff whom we met was friendly and professional. The cocktails and food were both reasonably priced, and we enjoyed them. We chose to have breakfast. The selection was limited, but the food was good and the service great. Pub Street is walkable if you don't mind a decent walk, and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I'd have no hesitation about staying again.

There are lots of plants, and I loved the pool. Everyone working here is super friendly and happy to help organize travel plans. Thanks so much, I'd definitely come back.

It's a lovely place to stay, away from the busy center. The staff were welcoming and always smiling, and breakfast was really nice too. The only odd thing for me was that the bathroom had no door.

The hotel is in a nice spot, close to the main area, and the reception staff were helpful. Breakfast was just so-so for the price, though. During our stay, a wedding next door played loud music for three days, which disturbed us and kept us from resting well. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. Housekeeping needs more staff training. After I asked for a clean replacement towel because mine was dirty, nobody brought one. When we asked them to wait ten minutes before cleaning, they waited right outside the door, talking loudly, and made us rush. They also cleaned despite our do-not-clean sign, yet didn't replace anything, even when towels, soap, or tissues had run out. It's a nice hotel in many ways, but staff outside reception could do better. I hope they improve.
