CENTRAL Hostel

The rooms seemed cleaner and nicer than you'd expect from an average hostel, and booking trips was easy thanks to its good connections with tour companies. The location near the night market was great. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. This hostel was perfect for us, and I'd highly recommend it.

It’s a nice place with the essentials and great service, and you get what you pay for. They run things smoothly across both buildings, even with hundreds of guests, which to me makes it feel more like a hotel. One tip if you stay: rent an e-bike from blue sky travel, about 100 meters from the hotel. It was so fun to explore.

The staff were really friendly and kept the place very clean, and the little pool was nice for cooling off after a long day at Angkor wat. The rooms were average, though, and our broken curtain let in a lot of light. Bathrooms were pretty grim, and sharing one as an ensuite for each room means there’s no privacy. There’s a communal area downstairs, but people didn’t really mix, and the restaurant food was cheap but average. It’s a cheap place, so you get what you pay for. I’m not sure I’d stay again unless I just needed a bed.

The city center location is convenient, but I’d honestly look elsewhere if you can. The beds were the only thing that seemed clean. The hostel itself was dirty, with damp eaten walls, half the outlets not working, and four or five toilets out of order. The pool was empty too.
