The rooms were new and well maintained, and the free breakfast was a big plus. Nikola, the owner, was great, friendly and helpful, and shared lots of useful tips and information. The staff were friendly as well. Excellent value for money. Thanks for having us, I'd definitely recommend it.

The hotel was good value, and getting to Pub Street and Angkor Night Market took about 10 minutes by tuk tuk. Phare, the Cambodian Circus, was around 5 minutes away by tuk tuk. The back-road location is a little obscure, and our tuk tuk and taxi drivers had trouble finding it. We also had mosquitoes and bugs, probably because there were plants and a swimming pool right outside our room. The manager kindly lent us bug spray, which worked like a charm, and we had no more bites after spraying the room. I'd suggest the hotel spray rooms before guests arrive.

For $25 a room per night, or $12.50 each in high season like New Year, keep your expectations realistic. I paid in Thai Baht and got a good exchange rate, $35.87 to the dollar, while the usual rate in Cambodia is around ฿40 rather than ฿35.8 or ฿36 at most. The place is cheap and okay for someone looking for that. At night it's very quiet and dark, so have someone with you to grab a tuk tuk if you're going to the night market or Pub Street. The room was big but looked unfinished in the painting, and the toilet was dusty, maybe because it was so new. Staff said it had only been open one month. There's a small pool. Breakfast was just an omelette, bread and banana on my first morning, then rice porridge, dried fish and banana on the second.

The owner was really nice and helpful, and can arrange tuk tuk rides for less than the usual street fares. It's a bit far from the city center, but still highly recommendable. Rooms aren't fancy or luxurious, just spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was especially useful since I didn't have mobile data, and it was very strong.

Great value, with a lovely owner, clean rooms and a quiet, pleasant pool.
