Garden Village Guesthouse

Garden Village Guesthouse & Pool Bar has been my place in Siem Reap for about 10 years. I keep coming back and haven’t considered staying elsewhere. It has the best vibe in town for me, and returning feels familiar, with good memories. Pohin, the owner, is genuinely kind and welcoming, and makes guests feel at home. It’s easy to meet travelers from around the world in the relaxed, social atmosphere. The garden and pool are lovely places to cool off after temple exploring. It’s near the center but still calm enough to relax. Comfortable stay, good food and drinks, and a fun pool bar atmosphere. If you want a friendly, relaxed place with great people, I highly recommend it.

If you’re visiting Cambodia, I’d recommend Mr. Leng as an Angkor tour guide. His knowledge of the site and its history is impressive, and he’s a real professional. The hospitality and warm, friendly atmosphere made the whole experience unforgettable. It felt like exploring with a friend, not just a guide.

I’ve used the pool for three months, and used to pay 2,000 KHR for a towel every time, along with getting beer, smoothies, and spring rolls without any problems. A new guy I’d never seen before was rude and insisted on 4,000 KHR. The 50 cents USD isn’t the point. I left without buying any more beer or food. Hope losing that possible 50 cents was worth missing out on $10 🤷🏻‍♂️

We had a great vacation here in Siem Reap and will definitely return. There are lovely people around the pool, plus a slackline, volleyball courts, and a calisthenics bar for training. The food is tasty and affordable, and everything we needed was close by.
