Golf Angkor Hotel

Careful, this felt like a scam. We bought a ticket for the AMMCO Bus at reception, which we understood was the official place to buy one in Siem Reap. But instead of a bus, an old five-seat SUV picked us up. A few kilometers later, 11 other people joined us in the same car. We spent almost three hours packed into it on the way back to Thailand, to Surin. We later learned the AMMCO Bus service had been suspected for a while. Reception staff didn’t tell us anything and even said no when we asked if we’d just be riding in a stuffed car instead of a bus. I suggest avoiding this hotel if you want honest treatment.

Everything was fine apart from two things: there were tons of mosquitoes in the room, and loud guests yelled all night. The part that surprised me most was leaving without taking one of those mugs.

Not a bad hotel. It has a refreshing view, a relaxed feel, and a large area. It’s one of the oldest hotels in Siem Reap Angkor City.
