Holy Angkor Deluxe Hotel

I ended up here because I was meant to stay at laluna, but they were full and sent me over. They were partners, or maybe owned by the same person. The rooms were old but acceptable. When I asked the front desk for a missing towel, someone brought one in less than a minute, which was great. The location is near a brown coffee and next to a breakfast shop. A great place to sleep in siem reap, recommend it.

The location is good, about a 10-15 minute walk to pub street, with food nearby and a star mart for snacks or drinks. The staff provided free water and toilet paper each day. My room was clean, though not under the bed, and the bathroom had a shower tub that I don’t really prefer, but it was okay. The pool was average, and there was no food service like at many other places. On the ground floor, you can hear staff walking and talking all the time, so good luck with the noise. For 18-20 dollars a night at a 3-star hotel, I can’t complain much. Three out of five: good value for the location, service, an alright room, and a swimming pool.

The ground-floor swimming pool was available for us to use. The hotel was in pretty good shape overall, though some renovation work was happening during my stay.

Breakfast had a good range, and the selection seemed to change each day while we were there. The pool was a pleasant surprise too, and looked inviting for adults as well as kids. It’s a little away from the noisy center, but Pub Street is still an easy walk or short tuk-tuk ride away. The staff spent a lot of time helping us make calls and print things we needed to send back to the Netherlands. They were really helpful, and we had a great stay.
