The pool was nice and clean, and there was hot water and toiletries. The building may not be new, but it was OK, and this budget hotel is much cheaper than most places in downtown SR while being better than many of them. It took me 10 minutes to walk into town, and the non-party neighborhood was good for a proper rest. The owner speaks a little English and is absolutely sweet and polite. They kept my luggage while I took a two-day trip around the province. The room really needs more cleaning, though. The spider webs could be removed easily and would change the impression. On Booking it was listed at 15 USD a night, but the street sign said 7, so I took off a star. Even with that discrepancy, it was still a very good deal.

A lovely family has just taken over running the place, and everyone was smiling throughout our stay. The pool was great after exploring the temples, or for a relaxing day. Rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was a little small, and the floor stayed wet for a while after a shower, but that was the only issue. The neighborhood is quiet almost all the time, while Pub Street and the other markets are still about a 15-minute walk or a $1 tuk-tuk ride away.

The pool was very cloudy, and the next morning we saw a guy dumping a lot of chemicals in to try to clear it. The air-conditioning took a while to cool the room, which also smelled musty. We booked through Airbnb, but the directions in the description took us to a completely different location. Our host replied and tried to help with directions, though it took a while. If you book through Airbnb, follow this address instead of the one on Airbnb.

The owner and family were very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. The location is great, and the room was good enough. It’s a good price for a long-term stay.

Our room was spacious and clean, and getting to Pub Street was easy, a 10-minute walk or a $1 tuk-tuk ride. The location is perfect. This is a great homestay run by a lovely family, with kind and helpful staff. We'd gladly return.
