Onederz Hostel Siem Reap

EDIT: Children under age 16 are not allowed. Onederz is a huge complex with lots of rooms, private rooms as well as dorms, so there are options for different budgets. As of 2025 December, the cheapest private rooms are about $22 a night, and dorm rooms cost less. The place is very clean and surprisingly affordable for how high end it feels. It is run by a foreigner, and Onederz is a brand found in many major Cambodian cities. The rooms stay quiet at night even if there's noise around reception and the restaurant. It's a great place to meet travellers from all over the world, with fun evening events like trivia. There's also a nice restaurant, rooftop pool, and professional English speaking staff. The hottest attractions in Siem Reap are a 5-minute walk away. Angkor Wat is about 5 km away. The front desk can explain temple tickets and transportation. Since Angkor Wat is surrounded by protected "Apsara" land, you won't find a hotel much closer.

The location works really well, with the market, pub street, and good restaurants all within walking distance. It's a good choice for female and solo travellers, and for anyone who wants a relaxed crowd rather than a full-on party hostel. Food, hygiene, and safety were all good, cleanliness was 10/10, and the alcohol selection and cocktails were great. There are also 2 pools and a Gym. The staff were always smiling and greeting me as I came and went. When I checked out, the guy at reception even walked me to the tuk tuk, which I hadn't expected. Hospitality was 10/10. I'll visit again for sure. I gave it 4 because there's always room to improve 😅

The team made this stay memorable, especially Kanha. She coordinated activities, putting on a fun pub quiz and bracelet making class that helped us connect with other travellers. She was kind, approachable, interested in getting to know guests, and seeing her around each day brightened things up. Sophavida was lovely at reception, warm when we checked in, and very attentive. When we needed to change the day of a tour booking, she was accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we and the other guests were looked after. Thanks to everyone at Onederz, we miss you already! The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the facilities were incredible, including 4 pools. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.

Even when a party is going on, the sound doesn't carry into the room. The room was clean, the air conditioning was soooo good, and all the facilities were excellent. The food was amazing too. I'm so happy with my experience here, everything was amaaaazing!!!
