Petit Villa Boutique & Spa

The staff were a big help arranging our tuk tuk driver for the three days we visited the temples, and our room was clean and spacious, with a nice balcony overlooking the refreshing pool. It’s close to the market and excellent restaurants, and the free breakfast was excellent too. We were quite happy with our stay and would return. A couple of things brought it down a bit. We felt staff were steering us toward tours we weren’t interested in. Dinner was overpriced for the quality, and the spa massages were relaxing but not as good as others we had on the trip, and slightly overpriced.

A green little retreat in loud, dusty Siem Reap, the hotel sits in a beautiful garden with lush plants and even some pets. The rooms were large and clean, though a bit dark, and our bed was quite old. Staff were friendly, but our promised airport pickup never came. At times we also felt they pushed their own temple trips a little too hard.

We spent 5 nights at Petit Villa and loved the peace and quiet. The garden is lush, with exotic fish and even two baby crocodiles, and it felt tucked away from everything. At first it looked a bit run down, but by the second day I came to appreciate its simplicity. I don’t need things to be fancy or chic. It was clean, and a lovely break from the heat and busy streets. The location is just off the beaten track but still perfect, with good restaurants nearby, including Spoons. We especially recommend eating at the hotel restaurant. The food was amazing, even our kids enjoyed it, and the menu has Khmer and Western dishes. Breakfast and smoothies were yummy too. We also had a fantastic massage at the spa for $10. We’d happily come back and recommend it.

The location is on a quiet, well-maintained street, with really nice restaurants nearby. You can walk to the centre and night market. Inside and out, the hotel is green and surrounded by nature. It’s gorgeous, beautifully designed, and owned by a Cambodian architect. Staff were very friendly and helped with all our requests. There’s also a spa and massage area. Just come, no hesitation!
