Sakmut Hotel and Spa

The team made the stay memorable, especially when housekeeping surprised me for my birthday. They were also quick to help with anything we needed, including rides into town. Our first room was on the top floor, and in Cambodia's hot April weather the air conditioning wasn't cooling it enough. We contacted the hotel right away and housekeeping promptly moved us to another room. Great memories, and thanks so much to Ms.Champa Yay and the staffs from this hotel.

The staff really made this place feel special. They were warm and quick to help, from check-in to exchanging money and arranging excursions. Ms. Champa and Ms. Lom Or deserve a special mention for always having a ready solution and a smile. We spent three nights here, with a spacious, well equipped room, good breakfast, and an especially beautiful pool. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The birthday cake the team brought out for my wife was such a thoughtful surprise. They had noticed her birthday on her passport, and that gesture made our Cambodia trip feel extra special. Every staff member we met was warm and keen to help. We were at Sakmut Boutique Hotel for three nights as part of a tour. Our Deluxe Room was roomy and nicely furnished, with a lovely look over the central pool and its greenery. The restaurant had a strong range of local and Western food, all prepared to a high standard. Siem Reap's centre was easy to reach, just a $3 tuk-tuk ride away. We left thoroughly impressed and would recommend it.

I left my jewellery in the room and didn't even realise, since we'd moved on and stayed at several hotels across Vietnam and Cambodia. The cleaner handed it in, and a couple of days later we were contacted. Trailfinders then arranged for it to reach us at the airport at the end of our trip, after a six-hour journey. I'm hugely grateful for that honesty and effort. Some pieces were expensive, and they also had sentimental value. I would have liked to give a reward, but the man who met us was only the driver and wasn't going back that way. A huge thank you to the cleaner. The hotel itself was a wonderful stay, very clean, with lovely, spacious rooms that felt like small apartments. Staff were attentive without overdoing it. I couldn't fault the place and would definitely recommend it.
