Shadow Angkor Residence

Fantastic location, and it felt suitable and safe for couples. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location made us so happy we extended our stay. It’s central but really quiet, with hardly any traffic or crowds. There’s a contemporary supermarket right outside, and fresh fruit juices, coconuts, and street food are available in front of the hotel every day. Lots of cafes and restaurants are just one or two minutes away. The room looked exactly like the photos, which is rare. It was newly refurbished, with shiny wooden furniture, blackout blinds, soundproof windows, a comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. Everything was very clean, and the decor felt like a five star hotel. The staff and owners were friendly, kind, and helpful.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was included. Everyone on staff was really friendly. We were right by the canal, with Pub Street just a short walk away. Our favorite end-of-night stop was the Creative Cocktail cart, usually parked right outside the hotel.

Shadow Residence has been completely redone since its days as the original Shadow of Angkor. The rooms are much bigger now, with lovely bathrooms and balconies. We also found the laundry service excellent and reasonably priced, among the best I've used. Add a riverside location, a large room, and very friendly staff, and it's easy to recommend.
