Shintana Saya La Maison

The location worked well for us, close to Angkor Wat and a nice night market where we had excellent food among local families. Getting back from downtown or the riverfront was easy with local tuk tuks, or the hotel could arrange one for $3 return. Tuk tuk rides into town were complimentary. Packages are available with or without laundry, airport pickup, and spa massages. With just 9 rooms, this remodeled place feels almost like a private luxury villa. Cambodian statues and flowers decorate the hotel, and there's a large infinity pool. The staff were attentive, bringing fresh fruit drinks when we returned from town or tours. The cooks did a great job with Western or Cambodian breakfasts and cappuccino. Our room was very spacious, with a great bathroom, hot water, a large tub, and an enclosed shower. It could use a bit more clothing storage, but they brought us a luggage stand right away.

Kim was an excellent guide for the Angkor Wat tour, and Mr Bong drove us in a comfortable air-conditioned car that was ideal in the heat. Mr Rong, the hotel's Tuk Tuk driver, was kind and helpful. He took us to the town center many times, about 7 minutes away, and could pick us up for USD $3 return. Sometimes he'd wait for an additional fee, like having our own driver. We stayed in the spacious, luxurious Honey Moon Suite (Room 999). The pool, breakfasts, and restaurant were all great, and the team made everything easy. Warm, genuine staff and thoughtful details gave this boutique stay a lot of heart. We'd happily return.

We loved staying here and only wish we'd had more time. The hotel sits in a peaceful part of Siem Reap but is still close to the city. Its tasteful decor, pools, and lush gardens are lovely, and the quiet setting was perfect for unwinding after temple visits. The staff were kind and made us feel welcome. I'd definitely come back if I'm in Siem Reap again.

The hotel's decor is beautiful and clearly put together with care and good taste. Breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients and lots to choose from. The team were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. Thanks to everyone for such a lovely time. We'd gladly come back.
