The hotel’s construction is a real drawback. It surrounds the building and looks like it’ll take a long time to finish. The listing photos also don’t reflect the rooms: the lobby has been redone, but the rest of the hotel feels quite different. The pool is pleasant, though there aren’t enough chairs and they don’t have much shade in the Cambodian heat. Breakfast was just okay, and the WiFi barely worked, if at all, in my room. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. When I had a room problem in the middle of the night, they moved me without much hassle. I had another night booked but chose not to stay, and they amended the reservation, which I appreciated. I probably wouldn’t recommend it or stay again. If you’re looking for a modest 3 star hotel and keep your expectations tempered, it might suit you.

The staff were warm and efficient from the start, and the room was clean with good pillows and the air conditioning set to a comfortable temperature. It was a pleasure staying here, and I’ll definitely return.

The noise was the big downside during my month here. There was loud music most nights, probably from a nearby karaoke bar, and construction almost every morning, sometimes starting at 6:30 a.m. The TV was small, and the bed was too firm and could use a mattress topper. The staff were wonderful, especially Dalin, Lisa, Rachna, Chong, and Teng, all friendly and attentive. Housekeeping did a great job as well. My room assignment was mixed up at first, but staff fixed it promptly the next day. Breakfast was included each morning, though the choices were limited. The location is convenient: Angkor Wat is about a 15 minute drive, Angkor Fitness a 5 minute walk, and Angkor Market II a 5 minute drive, with plenty of Western groceries that are a bit pricey. Despite the issues, I enjoyed my stay. Big thanks to the team at Siem Reap Riverview Residence!

Getting quiet sleep here is difficult. Loud music began at 7am today, the music the day before yesterday didn’t stop until 1 am, and yesterday a jackhammer went on for hours around midday. The hotel is unfortunately in a very noisy spot. 🙁

The rooms are modern and tidy, and the price is competitive. A basic breakfast is included. It’s fairly close to the city center while still far enough from the noisy bars and clubs. A great place to stay.
