Siem Reap Riverside Hotel

The location is great, close to all the main spots but far enough from Pub Street to avoid its noise. The room itself was old, with an uncomfortable, lumpy mattress. Using the AC costs an extra 5 bucks per night; otherwise there’s an old, noisy ceiling fan. Drilling started at 9 am, too. More seriously, the receptionist came into my room without permission, went through my things, and stole my money. I asked the other staff to check the camera, and the footage confirmed it was him. I kept asking to speak with the manager, but they refused every time. The thief covered the cost of two nights and the bicycle rental, but I still think people should know. No serious action was taken, and I can imagine this may not be the first or last time, especially with older guests.

The room was clean and comfortable, and I was greeted warmly at check-in. Staff stayed friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my visit. I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly come back.

The staff made this stay for me. They were kind, friendly, and quick to help with questions, requests, and useful local tips. The hotel is very clean and well kept, with all the basics needed for a comfortable visit. The pool is a nice extra. It’s just outside the busy area, so evenings were peaceful, while the city center was still a short walk away. I had an amazing stay at Siem Rep Riverside hotel and would highly recommend it.

It’s the dry season at the Siem Reap River near the Royal Palace Stone Bridge, but the water level has risen because water has flowed in from the natural waterfall at Phnom Kulen.
