The restaurant felt like a cute zen garden, and I loved that the food was made to order rather than served buffet style. You could taste the care in it, and the food was great. The staff treated the resident cats with so much kindness, which really showed their caring nature. We stayed about a week, and the room was five-star. The terrace pool was fantastic, and the in-room massage had me asleep in no time. My husband and I also enjoyed the complimentary tea and snacks, and the hospitality was top-notch. It felt a bit like stepping into a Japanese anime world. I did miss having a small gym or even a few pieces of equipment. Maybe a paid yoga class on request would have made the stay even better. Still, I’d call this the best place I’ve ever stayed.

The people working here made our family stay especially memorable. Anita was particularly lovely and helpful, and arranged temple tours for us. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming, and I can’t wait to return someday. Our rooms were bright and spacious, with great bathrooms. We had lunch and breakfast, and everything tasted good. The location was perfect, and the rooftop pool felt like a hidden gem. This was my favorite stop on our six-city tour of Siem Reap.

We stayed in a roomy two-room unit with one double bed and two single beds, which worked out very comfortably. The lobby was cozy and nicely designed, with little fountains and friendly resident cats. The staff were warm and attentive from the start, remembered our names, and made us feel welcome without hovering. For our sunrise trip to Angkor Wat, they prepared a breakfast box when we asked. The next day, breakfast was so tasty and generous that we weren’t hungry for the rest of the day. Their tea hour runs from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with three teas to choose from, fresh fruit, cookies, and fruit chips. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and were very happy with both the food and the experience. I’d gladly stay here again on my next visit, and highly recommend it.

The tours and tuktuk rides they arranged were great, and getting into town whenever we wanted was affordable. I also loved the small hotel’s gallery of local artists. We bought several things at a 20% discount, and I’d have taken more if I’d had room. The prices felt fair, the work was lovely, and it felt good to support the local community. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was very good. They also provide filtered water for refilling, which made us happy and cuts down on plastic waste. Being able to drink the tap water after filtering was a plus for us, since we haven’t been able to drink the water elsewhere in Southeast Asia. The only downside was other guests ignoring the quiet zone, coming in late or getting up early, slamming doors, moving furniture, and talking in the halls. We found room 208 was the best, and would book it next time. Otherwise, you have to stay in the other section where the pool is on the roof.

The reception ladies were so warm and welcoming, and helped us plan our trip around the Angor Wat complex. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. I really liked the plastic reduction idea: you can refill your water downstairs. More places should do that. Thanks for a comfortable stay, and see you soon!
