The Kool by Sanctuary Residence

A quiet neighborhood and a lovely little hotel, with a good range of breakfast options. The staff were especially helpful. One friend left a backpack behind, and they got it delivered to us while we were already on the bus. Amazing service. I’d definitely recommend it.

I’d chosen a double room, but was given a room with three single beds. Even so, I enjoyed my stay because the staff were always smiling and happy to help.

The bathroom was a little dated, but it was very clean and functional, with plenty of hot water and everything working. The rooms were good, the AC was great, and breakfast was pretty good each day. When we had an early departure, the staff made us lovely boxed breakfasts. The pool and comfy sun beds were great, and on a hot arrival day we were welcomed with fresh papaya juice and frozen towels. It’s also an easy walk to the centre, under 30 minutes for us. After reading some other reviews, I have to laugh at what people expect for the price. I thought the hotel was outstanding value, and the staff were absolutely exceptional at any price, always smiling and helpful.

The Sanctuary residence is about 100 meters from National Road #6, in a quiet, friendly setting with little disturbance. I liked the room and residence decor, and there’s a swimming pool at the back where you can spend some time. It would be nice if they provided flip-flops for use in the room.
