The food is still fantastic, though the early bird special isn't currently available. The restaurant has moved up the street and is now called "So"; the old building was demolished in early 2016 and a new map entry is available. There are no rooms there, but the same team runs Reef Resort.
There is no sea view at all. From the back, you face a landfill, and from the front, a road lined with other hostels. The western "staff" were rude, obnoxious, and unhelpful, seeming more interested in their free drinks than in guests. They appeared to be passing backpackers, friends of the owner, or otherwise unemployed people. Look elsewhere!
The staff were okay, but the rooms were small and had no view. We moved on soon after we arrived and found somewhere else. This place felt very average, so I'd look elsewhere.
It's a local favorite, it seems. Eat before 8 pm and the three-course meal is only $5. The food is really nice and cheap.
The rooms are always full, and the full English breakfast is good.
