Sevenstars Hostel

Inside, the room was better than I expected: the air conditioning worked well, there was hot water, and they let us check in a little early. Most of the staff were friendly, though I did have one bad interaction. The WiFi was poor. The building and its setting felt bleak, with creaky wooden walkways and doors we had to secure with padlocks. The place had a prison-like feel, no hostel atmosphere, and looked more like a sketchy hotel. Outside was a dirt road and an abandoned construction site. It was okay for a short stop, but I wouldn't choose it for a holiday.

The people running the place were kind and really helpful, and the price was good even during the festive season. It was the cleanest hostel in town, from what I could tell. The rooms are simple but had what we needed: comfortable beds, air conditioning, a fridge, water heater, and balcony. Towels, toiletries, and mineral water were provided. We had a pleasant stay.

The location is the weak point: there aren't any decent shops or restaurants within a 20-minute walk, and Independence Beach is about 30 minutes away on foot. Still, for the price, this is a very nice hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were large, the bed was comfortable, and the decor was well maintained.

They replied quickly when I contacted the hotel, but didn't seem to care about the customer. The price shown on the website was different, and they wouldn't honor it. Unprofessional.
