The resort's atmosphere is very relaxing, with greenery, a private beach, and a private pool. It made a nice escape from the smell of gas fuel in the Capital. The service was great and the staff friendly. The room is quite old-fashioned, though, as this is one of the town's older resorts.
We went for a swim at 10:00 PM under the stars. The sun loungers were comfortable, towels were provided, and the bar was open. The room was nice, but the toilet didn't flush properly. We called a plumber and waited an hour for them to arrive. They apologized by giving us a bottle of champagne. Peace.
The location and service are very good, and the room is good too. The air conditioning felt a bit weak to me. I'd rate the bathroom 7/10, the bed 8/10, and the balcony 10/10.
Excuse me, “private beach”? Under Cambodian Land Law and coastal regulations, beaches are public state land, and access cannot be restricted, even within the 50m coastal zone. Hotel staff have no right to stop visitors from being on the shoreline. I'll post this and get on with my life.
My wife and I had some of our most relaxing days in Cambodia at Sohha Beach Resort, a PARADISE in a city where tourism isn't easy and isn't welcomed. The beach was probably the cleanest within 30 km of Sihanoukville. We loved the clean surroundings, the quiet, and the state of the art gym and spa, along with the marvellous staff from sokha resort. Breakfast and dinner were perfect, and always adapted to our needs. Thanks!
