The MoonFlower Bungalow

The room was clean and came with two beds at a good price, especially with costs in SHV so high. It’s about 1km from Otrs beach, but you can drive there, and there are marked parking spaces.

There’s no food onsite, so you’ll need to get breakfast elsewhere, but plenty of good nearby cafes open from 7 am. The bungalow balcony looks over the pool, which is nice. Inside, it’s very basic, with a small kitchen-like area with a gas burner and sink, plus a bathroom with hot water, a toothbrush, shampoo, and a hair dryer. Pool and bath towels are provided. It’s a 6 minute walk to the main beach, with a gorgeous sunset view. Check-in was speedy, and the surroundings were quiet. The receptionist spoke very good English and helped us arrange a taxi back to Pheom Penh for a super good price of $50. A Tuk Tuk from Sihanoukville ferry port cost $5.

The rooms felt cramped, and the place is in an unattractive part of town. It’s not especially close to the beach compared with most other places. It isn’t bad value for money, but it’s not somewhere I’d choose to stay in one of Cambodia’s most beautiful areas.

This is a late review. I think we were among the first guests when we stayed here in 2013, and it was great then. The room was a good size, very clean, and not too far from the beach. The people were super nice and helpful, and the food was good too. I’d go again :)
