The room had plenty of space, with a sofa, chair and large bed. The smart TV connects to the internet, and the bathroom has good water pressure, though the corners and floor could have been cleaner. At 70 USD a night including breakfast, it felt expensive beside similar hotels nearby. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, but checkout was a mess. We waited nearly 40 minutes for the bill with no explanation, which was frustrating. Breakfast was okay, mostly traditional Khmer food and some Chinese dishes, with very few Western choices. There's a rule against outside food, but guests were bringing it in and security didn't stop them, so the policy seemed unclear. The 10th-floor Sky bar has food and liquor options. A small coffee shop and grocery section beside the lobby sells drinks and basic items, which is handy. The hotel has good space and helpful check-in service, but checkout, cleanliness and policy enforcement need work for the price.

A well-known hotel in Sihanoukville, run by a professional Cambodian team. The staff are friendly and know their hotel well. Rooms are attractive, spacious and well equipped, and there's a buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Riva Hotel from 16-19 Dec. 2025 and left concerned about unexpected charges. In one case, guests were charged an extra four US dollars for accidental stains from menstrual bleeding, which the hotel treated as damage and asked them to pay right away. In a separate incident, the hotel gave me a reusable glass bottle filled with tap water. I put in a multivitamin fizz tablet I'd brought from Germany, and pressure caused the bottle to burst. I was then charged five US dollars for the bottle's reduced value. These are two situations I personally experienced, and I found the practices unfair and unprofessional. I can't recommend staying here.

The staff were helpful and accommodating, and breakfast was quite delicious. The hotel is newly built with a modern design, set on a small road close to the beach. The room had excellent amenities, though the toilet had visible stains and wasn't clean. The extra bed was also too hard to sleep on. At night, we could clearly hear events and people shouting across the road, as well as guests chatting and shouting outside rooms. Better soundproofing and a quiet sign in the hallway would help. Only one elevator was working during our stay, which made things slow. Even with those issues, it's still a great hotel to visit.
