Xihu Resort Hotel

The breakfast buffet had lots of Chinese dishes and other cuisines, and I especially liked the different breads and pastries. I booked a beach-facing sea-view room; it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lobby is beautiful and peaceful, and the pool was nice, with a kids' section and a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. The hotel is on 2 thnou street in Sihanoukvile, and there seemed to be more Chinese guests than locals, including inside the hotel. My stay was quite nice and I’d visit again. I’d recommend it to couples looking for a relaxing honeymoon getaway. I’m giving it four stars because some guests were rude and annoying to others, though the hotel itself was still good.

Breakfast was great, and my four-year-old daughter had fun in the clean pool. The room on the 15th floor was nice, with an amazing view.

There’s plenty of parking, and the bathroom was great. My bed was nice, the room was clean and smelled good. The pool was very nice for the whole family, with direct access to the beach. The surroundings reminded me of Vegas, and I was impressed by the hotel overall. It deserves five stars in Cambodia, though I’d have given it five here too if the staff had been friendlier.

The outdoor tub on the balcony got more use than I expected. I relaxed there with a drink while listening to the waves on the beach below, and the sea view was incredible. The rooms are very generous, around 55 square meters by my estimate, plus an 8-square-meter balcony. There’s a casino downstairs too, probably the best in town, haha, and yes, I won! The hotel is about six years old and in a good part of town. If you’re visiting Sihanoukville and need a place to stay, this is probably your best option.
