Getting around the island was easy from this fairly central spot, which worked well for us. The room I had was comfortable and did what I needed, though some colleagues had trouble with theirs. Staff were warm and cheerful. The menu is small but the food is tasty, and service can drag a little. The coffee is excellent. Cheap and cheerful is the impression, though it isn't actually that cheap.

The people working here are very friendly, but the lodge needs repairs and renovation throughout to meet even basic standards. The air conditioning, phone, and shower need to work. During Covid19 quarantine, communication services especially need to be kept running all the time. The food often looks much better on the menu than it turns out to be.

There’s hot water and WiFi, and they can arrange airport transfers. Shops are nearby, prices are great, and car rental is available. A great place to stay in Kiribati, highly recommended.

The rooms are cleaned every day, and the beds are really comfortable. The staff are the best, always going out of their way to help. This place is fantastic, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on Kiribati.

I stayed here during Covid isolation. The people are nice and mean well, but if Covid gets out in Tarawa, I think it’ll come from here. There was no hot water, and we had to clean our own rooms with bleach.
