Laverne was a sweet, hospitable host and was available whenever I needed her. The apartment was spacious, the kitchen had the essentials, the shower was hot, the Wi-Fi was strong, and both the AC and fans worked well. Frigate beach is an easy walk away. The city centre is about an hour on foot, with uphill and downhill stretches, so I wouldn’t recommend walking there in hot, sunny weather. I’d stay again, but next time I’d rent a car.
