Park Hyatt St. Kitts

We spent a week at the Park Hyatt St Kitts with our family, and it was better than we expected in every way. The property is open and beautiful, with stunning views and a fantastic pool and beach setup. Moving between them is easy, and even by the pool it feels like you’re sitting by the beach. The service was great throughout, from the front desk to the pool team and housekeeping. It’s very family friendly while still feeling luxurious. My kids looked forward to the kids club every day, while my wife and I got to use the gym and spa and visit the bar at the pier. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone.

The plunge pool room was fantastic, and the $200/night upgrade was absolutely worth it. The pools were good too, though the adults’ pool could have used more attention from servers. We enjoyed the food, especially the Lobster Fest, and the ferry to Nevis was quick, easy, and ran frequently right from the property. Thanks to Fernando B for the good customer service. The stay was great and I’d recommend it. I wasn’t a fan of the automatic service charge, but the resort is fairly isolated and the service was decent, so I can understand it.

The staff were accommodating and kindly kept the buffet open a few minutes longer, even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing. The property itself is beautiful. After breakfast, walking around, I could picture enjoying a hotel stay there, with the peaceful setting, beach access, cabanas, and well-kept grounds. I came for the breakfast buffet, though, and at $65 per person I didn’t think it was worth the price. To me it was more like an extended continental breakfast, with a limited selection and mostly pastries.

We loved our stay at the Park Hyatt and were glad we picked it after briefly visiting the Marriott. Set in a small bay among the hills on the peninsula’s quieter, more remote eastern end, the resort feels just the right size. The beach was where we spent most of our time, though the pool was lovely too. The main downside was how much seaweed had washed up on the beach. Everyone throughout the resort was extremely friendly, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the three main restaurants, each with its own menu and flavors, as well as the large breakfast buffet. Prices are high, as you’d expect at a resort like this. Our family made regular use of the basketball and pickleball courts. I’d highly recommend it.
