Communication here can be a little difficult.

My daughter was traveling alone and had just turned up looking for somewhere to stay after the accommodation she'd booked didn't come through. They were really rude to her, accused her of trying to get in without paying, and sent her away in tears. What kind of people treat someone that way? Avoid this nasty place and the nasty people there.

It was nice having a clean room of my own, and the hotel was close enough to walk to the city center. The alley on the way in felt a little scary. I wasn't going to have breakfast anyway, so not having it was fine.

Harude Guesthouse was really comfortable. The owner has filled the garden with lovely flowers, and it felt like a reflection of their kindness. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm next in Andong.
